The Dairy Festival returns to Putnam County on June 3 – here’s everything you need to know before you go!

What is the Dairy Festival?

Held annually in June, National Dairy Month, the Dairy Festival is a seriously fun community celebration that pays tribute to the dairy industry and local dairy farmers. The Dairy Festival features a variety of activities such as a road race, parade and tractor show, entertainment, local vendors, and much more.

When is the Dairy Festival?

The Dairy Festival will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

In Downtown Eatonton around the Courthouse Square.

What is the schedule of events for the Dairy Festival?

7:00 am / 5K and Fun Run: Lace up your walkin’ and runnin’ shoes and get ready for a 5K race through historic downtown Eatonton! This race is the perfect way to start the day and enjoy the area before the crowds move in. Packet pickup begins at 7:00 am, the Fun Run begins at 7:30 am, and the 5K begins at 8:00 am. Participants will receive a t-shirt, ice cream and milk upon finishing. Sign up here.

9:00 am – 4:00 pm / Shop local artisans: Browse the booths of hundreds of local artisans to score unique goods or a Dairy Festival souvenir.

10:00 am / Parade & Tractor Show: One of the most popular attractions of the Dairy Festival, the parade features a variety of floats to honor the Putnam County dairy industry as well as vintage tractors! You’ll go home with loooots of candy.

11:00 am – 1:30 pm / Barbecue on the Courthouse Square: Take a break from checking out the booths around downtown and enjoy some delicious barbecue. There will be plenty of tasty options to enjoy!

12:30 pm – 4:00 pm / Free Entertainment: Kick back, relax, and enjoy entertainment on the courthouse square.
