Santa recently took some time off from his busy schedule for a fun and relaxing day in Eatonton, Georgia. He’s shared with us his favorite things to do around town and how he spent his day off!

1. The Iron Fork Cafe for A Big Slice of Buttermilk Pie

Santa likes to start his day with a big slice of buttermilk pie from The Iron Fork Cafe. The buttermilk pie is so good that Santa forgoes his usual choice of milk and cookies! The Iron Fork Cafe is one of the best places in Eatonton for some good, southern cooking with favorites such as pork chop, macaroni and cheese, and fried okra.

2. A Walk through Nature at Rock Hawk Effigy

After such a long ride in his sleigh, Santa loves to stretch his legs and stroll through beautiful Rock Hawk Effigy! The changing foliage and incredible scenery make this a favorite for Santa. Rock Hawk features over 30 miles of trails and hundreds of educational displays, perfect for walking, jogging, or even cycling. Other favorites of Rock Hawk include archery, camping, and nature watching.

3. A Bite to Eat at Folksart

There’s nothing quite like the jackfruit street tacos at The FolksArt on South Jefferson: A Mercantile and Cafe – and Santa agrees! FolksArt is a unique restaurant and folk art store in the downtown area with made-from-scratch, life-changing sandwiches and other wholesome dishes. After grabbing a bite to eat, take a while to appreciate the numerous works of art hanging in the cafe or shop their selection of handmade gifts and quality goods.

4. A Performance at The Plaza

Santa’s last stop of the day is a jam session at The Plaza Arts Center. When he isn’t performing, he loves to relax and enjoy one of the many shows put on by the Plaza. There’s nothing quite like spending an evening immersing yourself in the arts and The Plaza is the place to do it! The Plaza hosts incredible outdoor performances in the spring and summer on a beautiful lawn where concertgoers enjoy great music and great weather. Inside, enjoy performances of a wide range of talent, including theatre performances and comedy shows.
