What a great hometown restaurant! Stopped in for a bite of lunch. Had wings n okra. A real old fashioned mom n pop kinda place where they actually care about your experience. Nice atmosphere, the owner was helpful & pleasant to speak with. She took the time to answer all of my inquiries. The food looked and tasted great with a nice portion. I very seldom give five stars but this restaurant earns it. I look forward to returning especially on a Soul food Sunday.

Had the Soul Food special. Great flavor and large portions. The owner Kina, her sister and mother stopped by our table and welcomed my mother and I. With corporate chains taking over serving the same frozen flavorless food, being served authentic food from a family owned business is a novel experience in and of itself. Nice beer/drink selection. Too few places like this exist anymore - we really enjoyed the vibe. The cashier and other staff were very sweet as well. I will definitely be back.

Having no cheeseburgers at 1:30pm on a Saturday should have been a clue for us. But our party of 6 decided to find something else on the menu. Wasn’t crowded. Only one other table of 5 and a takeout order. Our first two chicken sandwich plates were completely eaten before the turkey burger plate was delivered. That too was completely eaten when the last 3 chicken sandwich plates were served. So basically we ate in shifts over a 45 minute period. However, our food was all good. Nice sized fried chicken breasts that came out hot. Turkey burger was pleasant. Surprised this place has such high ratings as nothing stood out and the lack of common food orders were unavailable and what we ordered wasn’t timely for our group. No wait staff besides the lady behind the counter. We won’t need to return and really don’t recommend.

My husband and I here for lunch today. Everything was delicious…we shared the combination lunch of 5 wings, cheeseburger and fries (best fries). We’ll definitely be back to try their other items. Such a welcoming and friendly staff….very clean.
