Our family was very happy here. Clean room with cotton sheets (not those terrible microfiber ones that make you sweat), calm environment, spacious outdoor pool and deck around it you can overlook the lake. We liked sitting on dock by lake in evenings and mornings. Enough comfortable seating by pool with shade umbrellas helped so much for watching kids in pool. Renting kayaks and board games in large lounge was a nice touch!! The breakfast attendant was super kind and went out way to help us but also kind and attentive to needs of all who entered.

Absolutely a must! Beautiful area. Rooms were clean. Great staff. If I had to pick 1 thing that really stands out to me, it would be a lady by the name Sherri who prepared the breakfast, the food was great and she was so kind. She just made it feel like home. My family will definitely return

The customer service has been top notch at the lodge every time we have been. The breakfast was great as always, and the lady working the breakfast area was super accommodating. Special shout out to Zoya at the front desk! I loved chatting with her. She was so personable and helpful. 😊

We went here unexpectedly because we were having car trouble and needed a place for an extra night. The Lodge looked absolutely beautiful and we were in a bind to find a place since our Air bnb was up and we had planned on returning home. It was pricey for one night but the amenities made us think it would be worth it. They have a swimming pool no hot tub anymore and kayaking you could pay for. The view was incredible. They also had a hot breakfast that was pretty tasty. The staff was super friendly except one of the housekeepers that came to my room. The room however was a disaster. There was candy on the floor by the bed and we did see a dead bug in the room. The outlet to the microwave didnt even work so luckily my man had an outlet that we were able to use. Also, the phone wasnt labeled properly so I went to call the front desk and it ended up connecting me to 911! The dispatch says it happens all the time! A simple label would help. The hotel has a lot of potential but you can tell the building is old and needs upkeep. There was mold and rust in our bathroom, the internet service there was terrible but worst of all you cant get an uber to that place at all!! We were literally stranded for 3 hours after check out trying to get a ride. We finally got a hold of public transit that only charged 3$ per person but to not have your own transportation makes it a nightmare. They do have a sauna in the gym though so me and the family got a nice little workout. Overall, I would go back as long as I had a vehicle but I would definitely hope they fix the rooms.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Relaxing and Rustic An outstanding lakeside experience from start to finish. We spent the weekend at The Lodge on Lake Oconee in honor of a close friend’s military retirement, and it could not have been a more perfect setting. The property itself is beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and ideal for relaxing and reconnecting. The lakeside views create a calm atmosphere that truly allows you to unwind. What made this stay exceptional, however, was the people. Ms. Shelly, the customer agent, was attentive to my reservation before I even arrived! By the time we checked in, everything was meticulously in order. She was not only highly professional but also had a charming, bright, and welcoming personality that immediately set the tone for our stay! I also want to recognize Ms. Holly, the Assistant General Manager, whose leadership and presence were clearly felt. She made sure we didn’t lack for anything and was fully engaged in ensuring our experience was a great one. That level of care and attention made the weekend truly special! This was more than just a stay—it was an experience that honored a meaningful occasion for our group. Highly recommend The Lodge on Lake Oconee, and we look forward to returning.
